FOUNDER AND MANAGING ATTORNEY

Cole graduated from Stetson University College of Law in 2014. While at GrayRobinson, P.A. as an associate and then shareholder, Cole was lead counsel in copyright litigation which, to date, is the only finding of bad faith under the Digital Millenium Copyright Act leading to monetary damages. Cole has successfully negotiated multiple litigations so that trial was avoided and beneficial settlements were reached.

As a registered U.S. patent attorney who has focused entirely on intellectual property throughout his career, Cole has prosecuted hundreds of patent and trademark applications and litigated various intellectual property issues. Cole assists his clients on a regular basis with contract drafting and regulatory issues. His court admissions include Florida, Tennessee, and the District of Columbia. He has also appeared in cases in California, Delaware, and Ohio.

Cole was named among the “Ones to Watch” for 2021-2022 by Best Lawyers in America and has been named to Super Lawyers "Rising Stars" list since 2024.

Cole graduated from Tampa Preparatory School where he was a varsity wrestler and a violin player. While studying Chemical Engineering at Vanderbilt University, a summer internship with The Honorable Judge Herbert Baumann (retired) of the 13th Judicial Circuit of Florida led Cole to realize that the law was his calling. He is currently serving as a co-chair of the governance committee of the Tampa Prep Alumni Board, working to use his legal experience in ways that give back to the local community. Cole spends his free time enjoying golf (for the exercise), exploring the Tampa Bay area with his wife and daughter, and taking care of their two dogs, Chloe and Charlie.
